Oscar Verschuur was born in a small town village in the Netherlands. He studied Audiovisual design at the Willem de Kooning Academy of fine Arts, Rotterdam. He graduated in 2003. After graduation he immediately started his own production company called Verschuur Media.

He has more than 10 years of experience in the industry and has directed many commercials, music videos, documentaries and short films. 

He has worked on various formats, from super8mm to 35mm, from standard definition to HD.

In 2007 he moved to Australia to study Film & Television at Bond University on the Gold Coast. 

He has now completed his Master degree in Film & Television.
